Innosuisse – Business Concept 2025 Cantonal pilots Transparency & impact

Hello,

BATMED brings trusted actors together to support families and streamline processes (health, end-of-life, succession, repatriation). Cantonal pilots, a transparent comparator co-supervised by academia, and an anonymous needs analysis form our impact tripod.

Milestones

25 September 2025
Start of the “Business Concept” module (Innosuisse training).
18 December 2025 — Yverdon
Target: interim presentation of the consolidated project.
1 January 2026
Target: operational launch.

Innosuisse note: participation in the public “Entrepreneurship Training (Business Concept)”. This mention does not constitute funding or endorsement.

Why join?

For insurers
  • Less friction: local one-stop desk (pilot target: reduce contacts for a complex case from 5 to 2).
  • Efficiency & cost: clear guidance → fewer back-and-forths (target: −15% admin time per case).
  • Customer experience: public 5★ ratings & feedback loop (target: +10 NPS points on post-bereavement journeys).
  • Market insight: aggregated, anonymous insights to refine offers/packaging (access under protocol).
For universities & UAS
  • Applied projects: TPs, Bachelor/Master theses, multi-canton living labs on real cases.
  • Research data: de-identified datasets (target: 10,000 aggregated journeys by 2026, with access rules).
  • Visibility & impact: scientific and societal valorisation (seminars, publications per protocol).
For innovation parks & centres
  • Concrete dealflow: real needs → health/legal/gov-tech opportunities.
  • Test bed: pilots with impact indicators (target: 1–2 pilots/canton/quarter).
  • Ecosystem: operational bridges with insurers, authorities and associations.

Examples and figures are pilot targets, refined with each partner.

A 20-second use case

Fiction — “Marie, 45, needs to manage her father’s passing. The BATMED desk guides her within 24 h, provides the local checklist, and synchronises the insurer, the municipality and the care home. Result: 3 back-and-forths instead of 7, 10 hours saved, less stress.”

Common framework

  • Cantonal pilots: local desk, family support, simple impact measurement.
  • Transparent comparator: co-supervised by academia, 5★ ratings of packs & providers.
  • Anonymous needs analysis: aggregated outputs, access governed by protocol & committee.
FAQ — definitions (de-identified, NPS, TPs)
  • De-identified: no direct identifiers (name, email, AHV/AVS number); sensitive variables generalised (age bands, canton, month); publication only in aggregated form with suppression of cells < 5; controlled access; contractual ban on re-identification.
  • NPS (Net Promoter Score): recommendation metric: “How likely are you to recommend X?” (0–10). NPS = % promoters (9–10) − % detractors (0–6). Range −100 to +100.
  • TPs (practical work): applied teaching formats (e.g., prototyping, analyses, dashboards) carried out by students under supervision on real cases.
